Doctrine II is concerned with the third part of the Creed and the third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit. Because the coming of the Holy Spirit is the beginning of the Church, and the Church is the fourth section of the Nicene Creed (or Symbol of Faith), the doctrine of the Church is also covered in this Second course on Doctrine. The third course deals with Comparative Theology].

 

There will be eight sessions in this course, in which one or more of the following topics will be covered in each session some very briefly: the Holy Spirit in the Trinity; the Holy Spirit in Creation; the  Holy Spirit in the Work of Salvation; the Holy Spirit in the Church;  the Holy Spirit in the Holy Mysteries; the Holy Spirit in the Eucharist; the Holy Spirit in Sanctification; the Holy Spirit in spiritual life;  the acquisition of the Holy Spirit as the goal of life;  the Holy Spirit and iconography;  the Doctrine of the Church; the Holy Spirit and Eschatology.
