  • Doctrine I Three major doctrines of the Orthodox Church will be explored in the doctrine 1: those of (a) the doctrine of God, and in particular the understanding of the Trinity - God as three persons sharing in, and expressing one essence; (b) the Church’s understanding of the nature, meaning and purpose of human life, including the doctrines of Creation, Fall, and Salvation, and (c) the union of divine and human natures in Jesus Christ.
